Space saving chiller
July 1st 2008 Coolmation, UK distributor for
Rhoss SPA, has launched the
TCAE Y Pack range of space
saving chillers, for retrofitting in
replacement projects where space
is at a premium. Available from 150
to 350kW, these energy efficient
chillers, also available as reverse
cycle heat pumps, have a footprint
almost half the size of their
predecessors. The largest chiller in
the range, for example, measures
just 6m2.
The Eurovent Certified TCAE Y
Pack range has Energy Efficiency
Ratio (EER) ratings to 2.87 and
Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
(ESEER) to 4.25.
Steve Warnock, MD, says
"Coolmation is involved in a
number of ongoing chiller
replacement projects, but in almost
every case, dimensions become a
real issue.
"The space taken up by the
original chiller is invariably
insufficient to accommodate the
new higher capacity one causing
real installation problems."
The Space Saver range uses
refrigerant R410A, multi scroll
compressors and Adaptive
Function Plus control logic. They
come in standard, silenced and
super silenced form or as reverse
