Premiership heating
July 1st 2006

The new Arsenal Emirates Stadium and the West Ham Football Club Stadium have the benefit of underpitch heating systems using Wellman Robey gas fired boilers as a heating source. Both Arsenal and West Ham have high-tech pitch construction using blown air and wet heating system for ground conditioning, the heating system is used to maintain playing conditions during frosty weather. A complex ground construction incorporating drainage, irrigation, vacuum and supply air systems and heating systems is incorporated, the heating is via low grade water passing through small bore pipe-work.
