mical evaporative cooling September 1st 2006 Evaporative cooling is a low cost solution for cooling large warehouses on hot days.
JS Air Conditioners can supply and install an evaporative cooling system to control the temperature in warehouses from 100m3 to over 50,000m3 at a lower cost than refigerantbased air con, a chillerbased air handling system or even a ventilation system without active cooling.
Not only is installation of the system cheaper than some alternatives but, according to JS Air Conditioners, the ongoing running costs can be up to 70% less than regular air conditioning, as the only powered elements are a fan and water pump. This economy makes controlling the temperature in large warehouse environments a viable option, making them more pleasant to work in and therefore more productive.
There is one drawback of evaporative cooling which is that compared to traditional air conditioning, the reduction temperature can only be around 10C lower than the ambient outside temperature. However, with temperatures in the UK rarely exceeding 33oC, evaporative cooling is ideal for our climate. More articles from JS Air Curtains: |
