Greater absorbency and higher wet strength at the same price that is what new Tork Strong offers the user. The product is already providing cost savings for users, including a railway repair centre in Crewe.

The company previously used rags because they appeared to be cheap said SCA Hygiene Products. However, around a third of the rags were unusable either because they were too small, non-absorbent or contained sharps.

They discovered that Tork Strong was more absorbent than rags and low linting, but were concerned at the price. However, when they worked out the cost pro rata against rags they found the

Tork Strong was around 2p cheaper per sheet.
