Internal evaporative cooling March 1st 2004 Seeley International (Europe), in conjunction with Work Space Cooling, has developed an internally-mounted, evaporative cooling system that requires no external building work or complex installations.
The SDU550 air distribution system provides an easy to use, safe and effective method of cooling industrial buildings.
Providing up to 40kW of cooling, it can be fully installed for less than 5000 and costs less than 10p/h to run a single unit. It produces airflow of 10 000m3, covering an area of 12m in diameter or a 20m long corridor. This allows for the effective cooling of large areas or controlled spot cooling in energy intensive industries.
Evaporative cooling uses the principle of adiabatic cooling to take hot, dry air, and cools it by up to 15C by passing it over wet filter pads. The technology avoids use of environmentally-damaging refrigerants. More articles from Seeley International: |
