Fuel costs cut March 1st 2004 Yuasa Batteries has reduced fuel costs by 250 000 over 18 months and increased efficiency for heating and process at its Sparkhill plant with the installation of direct gas-fired heaters from Niche.
A Niche MUA 50 in the hygiene block maintains a constant 18 to 20C, with fresh air ventilation in summer.
In the battery lab, a Niche LSD gives complete control over temperature at all times, while in the charging shop four MUA units are mounted externally.
