Rugged rotary sensor January 1st 2007 Sensor manufacturer, Gill Sensors, has developed a noncontact 360° rotary position sensor suitable for harsh environments - to be launched at MTEC Sensors, Measurement & Instrumentation show on 14th -15th February 2007 at the NEC in Birmingham. Small, light and robust, the Blade Rotary sensor is fully electronic with on-board processing providing considerable configuration flexibility. It also has diagnostic information for assisting in system failsafe functionality. An alternative to potentiometers and RVDTs, this sensor is ideal for a variety of automotive, industrial vehicle, marine and control applications where environmental conditions can adversely affect other types of sensor. |
