Precise, yet simple torque January 1st 2007 Total solutions for non contact measurement can be seen on Sensor Technology's stand at the 2007 M-Tec exhibition. The RWT310/320 series of Torqsense Rotary Torque sensors is now available from 1Nm to 10,000Nm, so can be applied to virtually any size of system where precise, yet simple torque monitoring is required. Torqview II software generates a virtual instrumentation display of the output from a Torqsense transducer that can be run on any computer.Torqsense RWT310/320 provides non contact measurement of torque, speed, power and position of rotating shafts, such as machine drives. It uses tiny piezoceramic combs fixed to the shaft that distort in proportion to the instantaneous torque level. Data signals are then transmitted via an RF coupling. More articles from Sensor Technology Ltd: When two is better than one (1st February 2008) Sensor Technology, the company that developed practical non-contact torque measurement, will once again unveil a major innovation at the MTEC Exhibition. New for 2008 is TorqSense RWT 330/340series, designed for use in applications where space is limited, and provides non-contact measurement of torque, speed, power and position of rotating shafts, such as machine drives, drive shafts for pumps, fans, mixers etc, and in the critical axes of test rigs...
