2-in-1 concept May 1st 2007 Fitting all common housing slots,
the MZ2Q magnetic cylinder
sensor from Sick (UK) offers two
freely adjustable switching points
in a single device.
The 2-in-1 concept is said to
offer users greater functional
reliability with rapid piston
movements, two-fold final position
detection in miniature cylinders, or
the precise detection of differing
gripper positions.
Lower installation costs and less
wiring on the 'host' cylinder are the
result of offering two freely
adjustable switching points in one
sensor and, as the switching points
are easily taught-in, the sensor is
quickly ready for action. The
compact housing permits flush
installation and its short length
makes it suitable for miniature
applications using short cylinders.
The sensor can be used for
object detection on grippers, clamps
or presses in which a pneumatic
cylinder with an extension of up to
50mm acts as an actuator. More articles from SICK (UK) Ltd: |
