Silicone performance with hot melt productivity November 1st 2006 RW Greeff, UK distributor of industrial consumables, is now offering new sealent technology from Dow Corning that combines the production benefits of instant adhesion with the performance benefis of silicone elastomers. A patented reactive hot-melt, Dow Corning claims that its HM-2500 Assembly Sealent provides as much immediate adhesion as double-sided pressure sensitive adhesion tape, then cures to a flexible, weather-resistant silicone seal with outstanding durability and ultraviolet resistance. According to RW Greef, assembly lines often suffer bottlenecks waiting for sealents to cure and HM-2500 provides immediate hold so users can move parts from one procesing step to the next without delays and ship them as fast as they can be produced. HM-2500 provides long-lasting adhesion to PVC, aluminium, painted and treated wood, highperformance paints, plastics and various substrates. More articles from RW Greeff: |
