Developments in pump R&D January 1st 2008 Flotronic, is investing in a new
R&D facility at its West Sussex
site. Concern for the environment
is a driving force behind the
investment and a major role for the
new facility will be to test more
environmentally friendly products
Jane Wheatley, director, explains
"This is a significant investment for
Flotronic. The facility will boast
new machinery and there are
plans to install further state-of-theart
computer numerically
controlled plant giving tight
repeatable tolerances and
therefore product consistency.
This will speed up the pump-build
process and see an improvement
in quality control, so there will be
considerable customer benefits in
terms of order-to-delivery times
and product performance.
"Crucially, our ability to
accommodate the new plant in the
existing buildings infrastructure at
Bolney means that budget can be
spent exclusively on machinery."
Flotronic has also invested in a
new spray-paint area to enable it to
accommodate any customer
requirement for specialist surface
finishes More articles from Flotronic Pumps Limited: |
