Cool actuator
September 1st 2007

Hoerbiger-Origa has expanded the range of applications for its range of rodless pneumatic cylinders by developing a new version that offers temperature compensation so that they can be used in extreme heat or cold.

The new units are based on the OSPP range and are available in the standard sizes of 25mm, 32mm, 40mm and 80mm bore.

They include a sliding seal arrangement so that the air-driven piston can be connected directly to the load. Automatic temperature compensation is provided to the inner band of the seal so that it adjusts for thermal expansion and contraction, while maintaining an airtight seal.
