Processes thin sheet
November 1st 2007 Using experience gained from producing thick plate processing equipment such as the Tipo A and B machines, FICEP has now designed and manufactured the Tipo C25 for the processing of thin sheet material.# The Tipo C25 has been developed to process sheet materials from 1 to 25mm with the facility to punch, mill, drill, countersink, tap, ream, mark and high definition plasma-cut, all in the one processing cycle. This will suit the requirements of both the general fabricator and the structural steel specialist. Precision nesting can be done offline or on the machine with many different file formats, such as dxf or dstv forming a complete nest of components. The machine has the ability to nest closely and partwithin- part. Nesting software can be manipulated to provide various choices of start points and cutting paths, simulate the cutting of the nest and provide data that can be used for monitoring times and estimating. The machine's punching ability of up to 180 hits/min can be enhanced with a 14 position tool changer which has a capacity to use punching diameters up to 80mm. More articles from FICEP UK: |
