DISTANCE SENSORS
January 1st 2005

Leuze Mayser has introduced three new models to its optical distance sensor range. The new models offer mid-range measurement, supporting other models in a range that offers precise measurement over distances to 170m.

The ODLS 8 laser sensor has a measurement range of 20 to 400mm, a resolution of 0.1mm and a repeat accuracy of 0.25% of the measured value. Its compact size allows unobtrusive mounting.

For intermediary distances, the ODS 30 has a maximum range of 30m, making it suitable for applications such as diameter determination, positioning of lifting tables, fork positioning for fork lift trucks and so on. It offers an accuracy of ±1mm (depending on the measuring range).

For shorter measurements of up to 5m, Leuze Mayser has introduced the ODS 96. A CCD element enables high accuracy regardless of surface properties.
