Scaleable control
July 1st 2006

Mitsubishi Electric has expanded its Q series programmable automation contgroller platform with a new high-availability, redundant controller for system-critical applications

The QnPRH unit is the successor to the Q4AR. It is based on dual CPUs, power supplies and bases and is intended for out-of-the-box system building using standard components, customisable by straightforward parameter setting. It is configured for total data tracking and extensive physical redundancy to ensure availability, backed up by components that are hotswappable.

The system is flexible and scaleable and will be used to control a single workstation, machine, manufactguring cell or complete process line. It can be configured to network via all the usual formats and can be used in virtually all highintegrity environments, from the conventional continuous industrial processes, to utilities and power generation.
