Remote and wireless monitoring
January 1st 2008

t-mac Technologies will show its full range of remote and wireless condition and energy monitoring solutions at Maintec.

The company's GPRS enabled monitoring and control system, monitors, protects and controls critical assets, such as machines and buildings in any industry, with ease and all via the internet.

The range is MODBUS compatible for direct integration to a machine's onboard embedded controller. tmac operates by wirelessly transmitting information from multiple sites and equipment to a central managed server accessed by the user via the internet.

Lisa Wilkinson, business development director, says "At Maintec we are aiming to highlight the importance of this technology and why wireless monitoring devices can help safeguard not only production but the bottom line.

Preventative maintenance greatly increases plant production and efficiency which considerably reduces maintenance costs and consequently boosts profitability.

"With rising energy costs, energy management is moving up the business agenda and hence efficient equipment performance is of immense importance, especially for high volume manufacturing plants. By adding metering options to the manufacturing equipment/ compressors, the t-mac device can assist with energy efficiency and metering, alongside the remote machine condition management proposition. Businesses can therefore easily monitor and hence reduce performance costs by managing energy use accurately and immediately." Stand D23
