Remote maintenance

Koenig & Bauer used remote diagnosis and remote maintenance (teleservices) via modem connections to guarantee the availability of installed facilities.

Expenditure for the telephone infrastructure, high connection costs and the security risk of every modem to the entire company network were disadvantages that had to be addressed.
