September 1st 2007 Henkel has produced a handy
selector chart that shows where
Loctite brand products can be
effectively used. Where
threadlocking is required to ensure
nuts, bolts and screws do not
vibrate loose, there are anaerobic
adhesives in liquid or stick form.
These sticks are based on a semisolid
formula that does not drip.
Loctite 55 sealing cord replaces
hemps, pastes and PTFE tape,
simply wraps around threads to
seal metal and plastic pipe work
and fittings. It is easy to use and
readily allows 'back-off' for
alignment. Loctite 330 Multi Bond
is a toughened two part, no mix,
adhesive that is suitable for
bonding a wide range of dissimilar
substrates, including metals,
ceramics, wood, ferrite, masonry
and some plastics.
Loctite 8065 Anti-Seize stick
prevents seizure of hinge pins and
bolts and can be used on high
