EMERGENCY STOP
January 1st 2004

EAO has introduced a compact illuminated emergency stop for equipment where space is restricted. The switch has been designed for optimal functionality and usability throughout assembly, mounting and operation. It has a low back-panel depth, foolproof mono-block design and bright led illumination. The new series 84 is well suited to the compact and hand-held control panels that feature on a wide range of machinery and process control equipment, such as production lines, cranes, robots, moving platforms, as well as security systems and emergency exits. Its fast, easy mounting and connection to pcbs suits modern assembly techniques. Features include: sealed to ip65; conforms to EN 418, EN 60947-5-1 and EN 60947-5-5; switching capacity according to EN60947-5-1: AC15 B300 and DC13 R300; illumination visible from side view; variable supply voltage for illumination: 5 - 30VDC; and long life: 50 000 operations. The switch requires no additional assembly because of its single-piece design. It can be mounted to a front plate with a thickness of between 1 and 4mm and safely and easily adapted to pcbs of different heights.
