July 1st 2008 JLT's latest tablet PC is the
JLT8404. It features a strong
'aircraft grade' aluminium chassis
and an 8.4in colour touchscreen.
Integrated wireless
communications are offered
including Bluetooth, WLAN,
3G/GPRS and GPS alongside a
choice of processors and a
Windows operating system. The
device is MIL STD 810F rated.
The rugged PC tablet has no
moving or external parts and is
tested to withstand water and dust
ingress to IP65 and extreme
temperatures ranging from -20 to
+50°C. It is drop tested to 1.2m.
The Sunview Screen is viewable in
all lighting conditions, indoors and
in bright sunshine. It is touchscreen
and features palm rejection.
Accuracy is offered without the
need for a digitiser or active stylus.
The JLT8404 is suitable for
warehouse stock control, safety
inspections, service maintenance,
logistics and field-based work. It
can also be used for in-vehicle
applications. For automatic
identification/data capture, any
Bluetooth barcode, chip card or
RFID reader can be used. |
