Magnetrol's latest PACTware DTM is designed for use with Eclipse Model 705 with FOUNDATION Fieldbus communication.

The company introduced the free PACTware in 2007PACTwareTM is an FDT Frame program that communicates bi-directionally with almost any type of communication protocol (for example HART / FOUNDATION fieldbus / PROFIBUS). It offers a universal and user-friendly alternative to all kinds of proprietary instrument software and field hand held devices. PACTware is an open platform that allows linking the communication of field devices and components from different suppliers and operating all these instruments in the same manner.

The HART DTM's are certified and tested for full compatibility through dtmINSPECTOR, the official test protocol that verifies compatibility of DTM's with all FDT related technology. PACTware (or any other FDT Frame program) allows the user to troubleshoot and configure units remotely, an important asset within the complex software links in bus communication.
