Ultra-for-Flow technology July 1st 2006 Emerson Process Management's Ultra for Flow technology is now available on Rosemount 3095 MultiVariable transmitters with MODBUS protocol.
The technology is said to deliver next-generation performance over wide flow turndowns, resulting in lower installation and maintenance costs and reduced process variability for custody transfer and other critical flow applications.
Described as industry's first MODBUS transmitter with performance specified as a percent of reading, Ultra for Flow is an extension to the Rosemount 3095 platform. The percent-of-reading transmitter is said to eliminate the performance degradation inherent in the square root relationship between flow and differential pressure, maximising flow accuracy over wide flow turndowns.
When integrated via MODBUS with RTUs, PLCs and other flow computers, the 3095 MultiVariable Transmitter with Ultra for Flow is said to provide the following benefits: reduced process variability in natural gas and other critical installations, increased installation and maintenance savings through the elimination of transmitter stacking and plate swapping, and minimised maintenance costs and longer calibration intervals with standard 10-year stability. Ultra-for Flow is backed by a 12 year warranty. More articles from Emerson Process Management: |
