Entry-level flow converter
May 1st 2008

Krohne has launched the IFC 100, a signal converter for its Optiflux range of electromagnetic flowmeters that offer high level performance at entry level price.

Designed for a range of industries, from simple applications in the water industry to demanding applications in the chemical industry, the IFC 100 offers accuracy of ±0.3% of the measured value.

Its out-of-spec check determines both online and at regular intervals whether the device is within its specifications, while an application check enables the device to identify whether gas bubbles are present in the medium. It is suitable for use where containers are batch filled or batch-emptied.

The IFC 100 displays faults such as conductivity that is changing or is too low, electrode errors and media or ambient temperature levels that are too high.

Four push buttons on the soft-keypad allow easy operation, start up and parameterisation.

The IFC 100 comes in both compact and remote versions.
