Filters not just for fluff

James H. Heal recently introduced a new tumble dryer, the Accudry2. This is a standardised tumble dryer for laboratory stability tests on textiles. The design team needed an EMC filter of the highest quality, also the space envelope allowed for the filter was very small.

Chris Hargreaves, senior electronics designer for James H. Heal contacted his EMC Test House who suggested REO UK.

"A check on REO's web site and a telephone call resulted in a suitably rated single-phase filter that could fit into the space allowed being shipped from stock.

This was fitted to the Accudry2 and following retesting, received a pass certificate," says Hargreaves. James H. Heal has now installed REO filters in all its Accudry2 dryers.
