Latest data recorder
July 1st 2006

Described as the world's first fieldmountable videographic data recorder, the easy-to-use SM500F from ABB provides users with an electronic data recorder that can be installed anywhere, taking recording out of the control room and offering users localised access to operational data.

A choice of mounting options means the device can be installed easily onto a panel, wall or pipe. The SM500F is said to be three times slimmer than its closest competitor, enabling panel builders to reduce overall panel sizes. Its fully sealed, IP66 and NEMA 4X enclosure provide protection against water and dust ingress, making the unit suitable for hosedown and dirty applications.

Compliant with the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 regulations concerning electronic process data collection, it is suitable for any installation where local indication and recording of process conditions is needed. Typical applications include cold storage, temperature and humidity monitoring, effluent monitoring, and building management systems.

The SM500F can send email notifications when an alarm occurs.
