Oil-less air compressors are low on noise November 1st 2007 To meet the growing demand for clean, dry air for sensitive industrial applications such as pneumatics, instrumentation, machine-building, food manufacture, materials handling and packaging, Jun-Air produces a range of oil-less air compressors that, it says, can replace traditional rotary vane oil lubricated units, and offer low noise levels, long life and low maintenance. The compressors are said to be among the quietest available and are capable of achieving decibel ratings as low as 47dB(A). This makes them suitable for installations that require an independent air supply, and where noise could cause health and safety problems. An independent compressed air supply can also improve health and safety by removing potentially hazardous gas cylinders from the workplace. The Jun-Air range has been extended with the introduction of the OF1200, a higher output version of the company's OF300. With an output of 130L/min at 8bar, the OF1200 offers a useful 45% increase over the OF300, extending potential applications. The 50/60Hz dual frequency also provides flexibility for exporting OEMs, as the OF1200 can operate anywhere in the world without the need for modification. Versions are also available to operate at 10bar maximum pressure. As with all Jun-Air oil-free compressors, the OF1200 has internally coated receivers to guarantee an air supply in optimum condition.
