Free guide to cables

A pocket-sized guide to cables and the electrical industry has been published by Lapp and is available free of charge.

Easy-to-use, the Lapp Cable Guide is a handy reference source for users in all areas of industry, from cable specifiers and design engineers to students and trainees.

It contains a glossary of many frequently used words, phrases and acronyms in the electrical and cabling industry, together with concise definitions. There are also tables covering loading capacities and the latest cable core identification codes.

Other aids to specification include a guide to thread sizes and torque settings for cable glands and a table indicating the chemical resistance of synthetic cable sheath materials.
