White paper for designers of medical devices
January 20th 2012

Gems Sensors & Controls has published a white paper that will greatly assist the designers of medical devices and diagnostic instruments in meeting the increasing demand for more complex, smaller, faster and reliable systems.

The paper discusses improvements in the design of flow sensor components, offering specific examples of equipment and system manufacture enhancements that have been made to enable more compact design and better control of production costs.

The paper also looks at how equipment development time can be reduced when OEMs elect to work in partnership with an experienced fluidics specialist, a move that can streamline production, lower component costs and facilitate the efficient utilisation of staff.

Some of the more costly and time consuming pitfalls that commonly besiege the design process are discussed, most notably those that arise through inadequate specification.
