Free Health and Safety advice for all August 29th 2008 Further details of the free seminar series accompanying the Health and Safety 08 - North event at The Reebok Stadium, Bolton, on the 8th and 9th of October 2008 have been announced.
The seminar programme at the Northern stretch of this regional series of events will be delivered by a raft of industry experts and will cover issues ranging from accident and incident management to hearing protection. A full programme of seminars can be found at: www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk.
Educational highlights will include a seminar on day two, 9th October 2008, from Sarah Brown about asbestos management and on day one, 8th October 2008, an examination of ‘Ergonomics = Human Factors – a World Beyond Manual Handling’. Delivered by Jon Anslow, this presentation will provide an overview of human factors in health and safety at work today, look at the HSE’s approach, and also provide an introduction to the “Inspector’s human factors tool kit”.
Health and Safety 08 – North provides visitors with a fantastic opportunity to talk to key industry bodies, professional and trade associations such as IOSH, the Health & Safety Executive, the Asbestos Control and Abatement Division (ACAD) and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), all of who are exhibiting at the Reebok stadium in October. As well as the impressive range of exhibitors and seminar topics, Principal People’s fire training consultants will be generating some heat outside the exhibition hall during Health and Safety ’08 - North. The team will be demonstrating the use of extinguishers and inviting visitors to bring a blaze under control with hand held extinguishers. Principal People will be promoting the range of fire training services that it offers, from fire marshal training and evacuations to risk assessment and general consultancy.
