Big stand, big innovations April 5th 2007 Ifm electronic says visitors can expect some outstanding innovations from its 85m2 stand 4228 in Hall 4 at Total Processing and Packaging.
Highlights will include the latest versions of the groundbreaking efector octavis, efector dualis, and efector metris.
Imbalance or wear in bearings is detected and signalled by the efector octavis early enough for corrective maintenance to be carried out, keeping downtime to a minimum. This compact unit listens to the frequencies of the bearings and analyses the vibrations, indicating the early stages of wear with one output, while a second is triggered when serious damage is imminent. New developments to be shown at Total include versions for food environments, and a centralised unit designed to accommodate inputs from four different monitoring points.
Another development, the efector dualis is ideal for quality control tasks, sorting, as well as just presence. The innovation in efector dualis is apparent not only in its size and ease of use, but in its cost effectiveness. ifm electronic has managed to produce a vision-type sensor in the price range of standard otical devices.
In process sensors, ifm electronic will be displaying the outstanding TAD range of temperature sensors – devices that actually monitor themselves for drift; then there are the new SI5000 flow sensors in all-stainless steel housings and numerous new developments in pressure sensors.
Many standard optical devices will also be on show, demonstrating ifm electronic‘s huge investment in this area over recenet years. Featured will be new versions of the compact rectangular O5 style specially for clear-object detection; new all-stainless steel M18 photocells with tremendous performance at unbeatable prices; and an entirely new range, the O4, showing what incredible sensing capability is possible with state-of-the-art technology. No more so is this demonstrated by the O1 laser distance sensor, winner of the Hermes Award, that took the market by storm.
Look out too for:
• the efector metris, which measures consumption of compressed air and indicates if there are any leaks.
• the new G1501S Safety Relay featuring functions that you would need several different units to fulfill.
• the newcylinder sensors, new inductive sensors, and impressive new connecting cables,
