Free pocket guide to zero fault fastening
March 23rd 2006 Atlas Copco has published 'Error proofed production' a free pocket guide detailing five key steps to achieve zero fault fastening.
The A5 guide takes users through the five-stage classification, aiding the error proofing and safety requirement decision making process. Also covered in the 50 booklet are chapters on: tool management and process auditing; the new way of tightening; machine capability of tightening tools – how accurate is exact torque; and the three tightening tool condition classes in accordance with VDI guidance 2862.
A further chapter details third party Error Proofing Cases, looking at companies including BMW, Daimler-Chrysler and InterBrew. Each case study provides an explanation of how Atlas Copco has helped the company achieve a tailored solution to its tightening process requirements.
