Trolley service for hospital May 1st 2008 York Hospital has introduced a new
style of trolley to accommodate its
medical gas cylinders. Made of
lightweight stainless steel, the
ergonomically designed unit from
Craven is hygienic, easy to
manoeuvre and maintenance-free.
Previous trolleys had suffered
paint chips which resulted in
rusting of the metal. They were
also difficult to keep clean and had
caused rust stains to the floor.
Craven worked with Andy
Sanderson, portering and
environment manager at York
Hospital, to develop a tailor-made
solution.
Sized to fit a variety of medical
gas and
oxygen
cylinders,
the trolleys
are made from
304 grade
stainless steel with
200mm anti-static
wheels and feature a
positive fix stainless
steel gate to retain the
cylinder. The solid
base allows freestanding
when
stationary and the
round tube handle aids
manoeuvrability. |
