To conform to legislation on the admissible forces for vertical closing doors, many companies use a contact safety edge that has to strike a person or object before stopping and returning to the fully open position.

sara/Loading Bay Specialists offers a non-contact safety beam that incorporates a transmitter/ receiver that travels ahead of the door's bottom rail. Any solid obstruction entering this area will stop the door and reverse it automatically to the fully open, safe position, ensuring that there is no damage due to contact.

Also supplied as standard is a full height and width transparent safety curtain that provides clear vision from both sides of the door.
