Speedy system for safety specs July 1st 2008 uvex says it has made it easier and
quicker for safety professionals to
order safety prescription eyewear,
following the launch of a
prescription ordering
website.
The user-friendly
system is designed to
display pre-agreed frame
and lens options, accept
orders and issue
approval for the
employee to proceed
with an eye test. When
the system is set up for a
new customer, the lens
and frame options
approved by the client
are entered onto the
system. Access to the
client's page is password
protected, ensuring that
only authorised orders are placed.
The safety professional can print
the form and hand it to the
employee, forward it by email to
the employee if they work off-site,
or email it to an optician who has
agreed to accept orders in this
manner.
The on-line process can be set
up by uvex for organisations of all
sizes, and multiple accounts and
passwords can be created for
multi-site companies.
Spectacles are manufactured by
uvex, which keeps costs and leadtimes
down and, because invoices
are issued through the customers'
existing uvex distributor, there is no
need to set up a new account. The
prescription selection and ordering
system is designed to speed the
entire process and does away with
the wasteful five-page order forms
used in the past. More articles from Uvex (UK) Limited: |
