Safety relay with five functions
July 1st 2007 The new G1501S from ifm
electronic can be used with many
different devices, keeping stocks to
a minimum. With five different
configurations of the same device,
the ifm G1501S safety relay
conforms to all the required
standards (IEC 61508 EN 954-1)
with a depth of only 105mm.
The G1501S will work with estops,
including cross-fault
monitoring and optional
simultaneity monitoring.
It can also generally be used
with mechanical safety switches
and sensors.
Two-hand controls to EN 574,
type IIIC, mechanical or electronic,
can be connected to the unit. Ifm's
own fail-safe inductive sensors will
also connect to the G1501S,
including the Cat 4 units that can
be daisy-chained and still maintain
