Eye up a safety demonstration March 1st 2008 Pilz Automation Technology will
demonstrate its vision-based
machinery safety monitoring
system and visitors will be able to
benefit from free machinery safety
advice by having confidential
discussions with Pilz consultants.
The SafetyEYE camera-based
safety system is designed to
monitor three-dimensional zones
around robots, machine tools and
other hazards and will be exhibited
for the first time in the UK. Pilz says
that, compared with traditional
physical guards and products,
such as safety light curtains,
SafetyEYE can deliver substantial
cost savings through faster
installation and set-up, as well as
reduced maintenance needs. In
addition, it can help achieve more
flexible working.
Pilz will also use MACH to
promote other machinery safety
services, including its safety-related
training courses.
While visitors to the stand will be
welcome at any time, Pilz suggests
an appointment be made in
advance to ensure an appropriate
consultant or engineer is available.
