Safety hinge

Available from Euchner, the ESH safety hinge has integrated safety function and is designed for applications that need a robust device with small dimensions.

It combines the function of a safety switch with that of a door hinge, ensuring that, once mounted, it is virtually tamperproof.

It is said to be capable of coping with high mechanical loads and is IP67-rated.

The hinge can be mounted on 30 and 45mm wide aluminium profiles, while the switching point is freely adjustable from -10 to 180°.

ESH has two switching elements.

Depending on the model, these may be one positive opening NC contact and one NO contact, or two positive opening NC contacts. A minimum current of 1mA switches the contact.
