ATEX approval
January 1st 2006

New from Crowcon, the Gasman single gas detector has received full ATEX approval for use in hazardous areas.

Available for flammable, oxygen and toxic gases in the same small body, Gasman carries ATEX codes for ambient temperatures from -20 to 65°C. With interchangeable imodule sensors for an increasing range of exotic gases, it provides simple, single-button operation in a small package that weighs just 80g.

Fully protected against dust and water ingress to ip67, Gasman uses a housing made from polycarbonate with an elastomeric overmoulding to ensure impact resistance.

Should a hazard be detected, the device warns by means of a 95dBA sounder, striking blue and red LEDs, and an internal vibrator.

Two alarm levels can be set and, as well as instantaneous readings, Time Weighted Average alarm is available for toxic models.
