Palamatic Handling Systems has helped Smurfit Sheetfeeding of Norwich overcome manual handling issues involved in the manufacture of corrugated boards.

A particular problem involved moving pallets from a stack to a loading station, a highly repetitive task. A vacuum lifting system suspended on an ergonomic, lightweight aluminium H track gantry system now pushes different size pallets (including Euro pallets) from 25 to 80kg along a conveyor underneath the corrugated boards.
