Ergonomics and safety are truck's Forte
March 1st 2006

The latest generation of reach truck from Atlet features enhanced safety and ergonomics. It is also stronger and quieter and its on-board computer system has been further developed to aid diagnostics and allow a high degree of driver-customisation.

The Forte UNS Tergo is available with lift capacities of 1400, 1600 and 2000kg and standard lift heights to 10.8m.

The easy-entry cab has generous space and an infinitely adjustable seat to accommodated drivers of all sizes. The free-floating armrest and mini steering wheel reduces stain on the shoulders and arms, while the automatically tilting seat gives the driver a clear upward view when stacking. This eliminates neck strain and improves safety. The sensitivity of the controls, which are ergonomically grouped for easy fingertip operation, can be adjusted to suit the driver.

The ergonomic, tilting, seat, floating armrest and 'palm of the hand' mini steering wheel are all designed to eliminate the risk of RSI.

The truck is fitted with Atlet's Stability Support System - S3. This automatically provides stability by governing speed and acceleration, and the interface between speed and steering sensitivity. The system automatically reduces the speed of truck functions in proportion to the height lifted, overrides unsafe manoeuvres and reduces jerkiness in the manipulation of the controls.
