Polishing dust is ejected March 1st 2006 Polishing dust is ejected A Nonflam W120 from Carter- Thorne is providing dust extraction for polishing operations at Denham-based Martin-Baker, maker of aircraft ejection seats.
Dust created in polishing titanium, stainless steel and aluminium components is safely removed by the outdoor-mounted Nonflam, using a water-filled tank through which dust and residues are drawn by an impellor fan.
Associated ducting was designed and installed by Carter-Thorne.
Particles sink to the base of the collection tank and can be removed by raking into a container.
Automatic sludge removal systems are available. Water level in the unit is controlled automatically. Units are available with a range of fans precisely rated for individual applications. More articles from Carter Environmental Engrs Ltd: |
