Link 51 pallet racking has enhanced efficiency and safety at a Telford electrical product distribution hub from where 5000 lines are supplied to retail and trade sectors by Nexus Industries via its Masterplug and BG Electrical operations.

Stock is held in both bulk and fast-turnaround racking installations, completed in 21/2 months by Link 51.

The site makes use of XL narrow aisle and standard aisle racking systems, most of which are arranged backto- back to create 14 aisles and 28 picking faces with an average aisle length of 100m. With up to seven storage levels, 16km of linear space is now available at the site.

As one of the single depth racks is adjacent to a pedestrian walkway Link 51's nylon netting safety system was installed. This is attached via a series of vertical cables fixed to the back of the racking run and held under tension to ensure there is no risk of pallets accidentally falling from the rear of the racking.
