Plastic guard on warehouse duty

When Bournemouth-based Linear Storage Solutions won a contract to fit out Ernest Jackson's new warehouse in Crediton with pallet and drive racking, part of the remit was to protect the stanchions supporting the external loading canopy.

The company wanted to minimise danger to operators and personnel should a fork lift truck collide with the racking system or the loading canopy.

The solution was provided by Rack Sentry from HiLo- PSS Group. The semiflexible, moulded plastic guard protects racking against structural damage.

It reduces the power of fork truck impact and works on the same principle as an air bag by protecting the upright with a cushion of air.

When the Rack Sentry is struck it semi-deflates and then automatically re-inflates itself.

Designed to fit all standard European racking uprights, it is secured by Velcro.
