Live storage racks

Robert Bosch has chosen a LeanTek modular storage system to reduce stock levels in the final assembly area of its Cardiff plant.

The bespoke live storage racks, available from The Tube & Bracket Company, have resulted in a 58% reduction in lineside containers.

They were integrated with the company’s existing permanent fixtures. All racks have reinforced roller track to promote first-in, first-out stock rotation, and allow part delivery to the exact point of use, rather than the end of the line.

Mark Ryan of Robert Bosch, comments The LeanTek modular system’s flexibility is of fundamental benefit to the ever-changing requirements within our production area. In addition to five live storage racks, we have the option of building adjustable workstations and tables from the same system, which will maintain uniformity.

The level of service from the Tube & Bracket Company has been exceptional.
