Capacity up
May 1st 2005

When Aston Martin needed extra capacity at its new parts supply facility in Milton Keynes, Allibert Buckhorn increased the racking height from 3 to 9m, reduced the number of runs from five to three and created a smaller footprint to make picking easier.

The car builder reconfigured its storage into three areas: long for pallets; medium for long-span storage; small for Euro containers.

The medium storage racking was installed over a 7-week period.

Aston Martin managed stock movement in the warehouse while Allibert Buckhorn re-configured the new racking and married it to the existing system.
