Sweep towards a short term payback
September 1st 2004

Creagh Concrete has substantially reduced the cost of keeping its yard free from dust since purchasing a SweepEx modular brush system from Broadwood International.

Now, instead of paying £45 per hour to hire a mechanical rotary sweeper, the SweepEx Megabroom is attached to one of the company’s forklift truck in minutes and the sweeping is completed in less than half an hour.

Paddy McKeague, director of Creagh Concrete, comments The rotary sweeper was expensive to hire and difficult to handle. The SweepEx is far easier to control, is far more useful and has provided us with a short term payback.

The compact design allows a powerful sweeping action both forwards and backwards, allowing efficient and economical sweeping of large areas. Broom heads and mounting hardware are made from industrial strength steel, with heavy duty powder coat finish.

The easily replaceable hi-grade polypropylene brush has 11 rows of 30cm bristles for effective sweeping and brushes provide about 450 miles of sweeping before they need changing.
