September 1st 2007

The Burnley plant of Remploy Packaging has installed strapping and stretch wrapping equipment from Mosca Direct. Remploy purchased three Mosca stand-alone ROMP strapping machines. The highspeed, automatic ROMP is suitable for user-friendly strapping and features Mosca's brushless motors direct drive technology which minimises the number of moving parts for long-term reliability and performance. In addition, the company decided to enhance the end-of-line operation by installing a semiautomatic stretchwrapper.Mark Cobham, production controller, comments "Previously we had been doing our wrapping by hand, but the Mosca stretchwrapper is faster and more user-friendly."
