Sacrificial leg January 1st 2007 The financial implications of pallet positions being out of use due to damaged uprights and the cost of replacing large sections of pallet racking due to damage from forklift trucks is now a thing of the past, according to HiLo-PSS. The company's Sacrificial Leg provides a cost-effective and timesaving solution to the problem of repairing damaged frames. The device is a removable section, fitted to the bottom of the front upright. It can be quickly replaced without dismantling the frame and, more importantly, without removing pallets supported by the frame. The leg comprises a rolled, hollow section with a heavy-duty base plate for transmitting the load from the upright through the floor. A length of metal in the same finish as the front upright is bolted to the Sacrificial Leg and forms the sacrificial part of the upright. More articles from HiLo-PSS Group: |
