Repair, re-use, recycle

Timcon (Timber Packaging and Palleting Confederation) is taking as its theme for 2008 repair, reuse and recycle. The Confederation represents the interests of some 120 companies in the domestic timber packaging industry, principally makers of timber pallets, packing cases, crates and export packers.

Production and processing of new timber pallets and packaging is said to be highly energy efficient. Further benefits of timber outlined by Timcon include the opportunity for re-use, recycling and repair.
