Recyclable container November 1st 2006 DS Smith Tri-Wall, a supplier of heavy-duty packaging, has introduced a fully recyclable bulk container for liquids. LiquidPak, an octagonal corrugated container, provides a direct alternative to plastic and metal bulk containers (IBCs) . Benefits claimed include: low cost of purchase, low total cycle costs, 100% recyclability, and ease of use. It is lightweight and quick to erect and obviates the need for cleaning or decontamination. The robust product has been tested by TUV to rigorous ISTA standards for vibration and shock. It allows for high shipping density and the 500 to 1000L capacity packs are offered in stackable versions. The pack features triple AAA board with wet-strength kraft and water resistant adhesives throughout. It comes flat and has a quick-erect octagonal sleeve with integral pallet locking tabs for stability and safe stacking. More articles from DS Smith Packaging: |
